It is of utmost importance that men be supported by men in this time — for a healthy ownership of masculinity to thrive and uphold the rising strength of the feminine. May we work internally and externally to create that union within ourselves.
Men's work matters to me because I used to go to women to hold all of my emotions and vulnerability.
As I have forged deeper relationships with men who balance their masculine and feminine, I have relied less on my sisters for that support.
Who doesn't love being held and nurtured by a woman? It's wonderful.
AND it is not the end-all-be-all.
It feels essential — and sustainable — to my intimate relationships and to my beloved, that I have somewhere to bring my struggles that is not only her.
I also find I can go deeper with men, as they can relate to certain depths more personally. I feel met in their strength and emotional ferocity.
