“I’ve had two opportunities to experience nourishment from Ra. The first was my first EMX with Sacred Sons as a participant with 60 or so other men and the other was at a leadership Summit with Sacred sons where I also got to work with him some on preparation and delivery for a group around the same size.
What was notable about my first experience before I even saw or smelled the food was the environment Ra created around the act of being nourished. He made it a ceremony that let us access gratitude, humility, and reverence for the act of enjoying thoughtfully chosen, designed, and prepared food together. We felt the value and life of the plants and animals that were nourishing us as well as the hands and hearts that prepared it for us. It was part of the spiritual experience we were all having and it would not have been the same without these ceremonial meals.
In working as kitchen staff for Ra I got to see the thought and decisions that go into choosing the food and how it’s prepared, and what struck me most was the decisions that get made for the wellbeing of the earth and the recipients that nobody would likely be aware of unless they observe or ask. Some decisions get made guided by responsible and sustainable usage, some guided by flavor, some guided by the wellness received by those it nourishes. It’s all intentional and it all comes from love.
Taste and quality is the easiest to describe, it’s an instant “Yes! Anytime!” as an initial reaction. What I’ve experienced has been a variety with a common characteristic of being like a highly skilled home cooked meal for a special occasion. It’s reminded me of eating my grandfather’s cooking, who was a chef in the army and loved feeding groups of people his whole life. Similar to him, Ra adds something to the experience you didn’t expect, wouldn’t have thought to ask for, and don’t often experience.”

Ra Kennedy is a rare breed of a man who consistently shows up in leadership with creativity and vulnerability. I’ve had the opportunity to witness him in his essence as a health conscious chef & ritual guide during my participation at multiple Sacred Sons events. He’s gifted in balancing playfulness & authenticity while simultaneously commanding a kitchen of volunteers tasked cooking for an entire retreat group.
In addition to keeping things fun while getting shit done, he’s intentional about creating moments that incorporate the values & practices held high within men’s circles and conscious communities.
Because he invites others to connect more deeply & wishes to nourish those around him, I feel great working alongside Ra & recommend anyone looking for a personal event chef to look no further…
You’ve found the big-hearted chef with a conscious touch.

Spending a weekend at Sacred Sons is a powerful process and it requires a lot of energy. To arrive after every session to a meal prepared by Chef Ra, not only sustained me through these processes, it provided a full, love filled, unique and extraordinarily delicious experience of food.
Ra’s food resonates his dedication and care he brings not only to the food and the kitchen but the space he creates in all he touches.
Thank you Chef Ra for nourishing me, which impacted me in a way that helped me to feel safe and supported in this container.

Ra's men's group is welcoming and heart-forward. I felt seen, safe to express, and invited into movement and breathwork practices to open the body and mind. In essence, it was peaceful. I left feeling rejuvenated and with a soft glow in my heart.

Ra doesn’t just cook food — he transmits something. Every meal I’ve received from him has carried an intentionality you can actually taste. The flavors are bold and deeply considered, but what stays with me long after the last bite is the feeling of being genuinely cared for.

I've had the delicious benefit of receiving your food three to four times, now in retreat. Experiences with sacred sun, and it's been different, different flavor, different taste. Each time. It's always filled with love, with presence and gratitude. And I can feel that deliciousness that you serve through your food, the joy that you bring through your through the foods and the highest quality ingredients are felt, received, nourishing my body, my mind, my spirit, through the diversity and each mill always being different and gourmet as A gourmet taste, and I always look forward and stoked to have you cook, prepare for all the guys, just seeing the joy, the joy and the gratitude, just the devotion that you have to there are so many guys that make it all happen. As far as the foods, it's my one of my highlights, like I love I love food. The way you serve your energy, what you bring through is the world needs more of this. With retreat experiences, my prayer is that you get to serve more people, more places, more opportunities coming your way, because you bring so much joy and you love to serve. I'm like, wow, received so much joy serving so many people.
